Cedar Plank Salmon Recipe Mustard

Brush the flesh side of the salmon fillet with olive oil; Generously brush the skin side of the salmon fillet with the olive oil.

Cook the salmon for about 15 to 25 minutes (depending on thickness of the filets), or until cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Place cedar plank on cool side of grill if using coals, cover the grill and cook for 30 minutes or until salmon is cooked through to 140°f. Place 2 pieces of salmon on each cedar plank. Arrange salmon on plank and brush it all over with maple mustard sauce.

Cover and heat for 3 minutes. Brush glaze evenly over salmon pieces. Put a weight atop the cedar plank and soak in water for a minimum of one hour, preferably longer.

Spread evenly over the salmon. Or lightly oil a shallow baking pan large enough to hold salmon. Generously season the salmon with salt and pepper on both sides.

Cook until salmon is easily flaked with a fork, 25 to 30 minutes. Stir together dijon, oil and salt in a small bowl. Line the plank with fresh rosemary sprigs and place salmon over rosemary sprigs skin side down or tuck rosemary sprigs in between each piece of salmon.

Place the salmon, skin side down, on the cedar plank. Top with a lemon slice. Heat bbq grill on high.

Spread mixture on flesh side of salmon and let stand at room temperature 15 minutes. Brush salmon on both sides with paste. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, dijon mustard, bourbon and garlic.

While salmon is baking, in a small mixing bowl add mustard, maple syrup, soy sauce, and liquid smoke. Shake cedar plank to remove excess water and arrange salmon pieces evenly on the plank. Turn the plank over and place the salmon, skin side down, on top.

Stir until smooth paste is formed. Salmon is done when pressed with a fork it flakes easily. Season your fillets on both sides, and then lay them out on the cedar plank, adding mustard over the sides and top of your filets and crumbling some brown sugar over the top.

Stir together mustard, honey, rosemary, zest, and 1/2 teaspoon each of salt and pepper. Place the cedar plank in the center of the grill and allow to heat for 5 minutes. Mix all ingredients except salmon together in bowl.

Place the salmon on the soaked plank and season with kosher salt liberally. In a bowl, mix to combine mustard, sugar, pepper, and salt. Make the sauce by mixing together the oil, mustard, honey, oregano, salt, pepper and green onions.

Spread the paste over each salmon filet. Whisk together ¼ cup of brown sugar with three tablespoons of dijon mustard. Whisk together mustard marinade ingredients and spread on top of salmon.

How long to soak cedar plank? Arrange salmon on soaked cedar plank and spread mustard mixture over salmon. Make the glaze, in a bowl, mix the mayonnaise with the mustard, dill, sugar and lemon zest.

Grill for 15 to 25 minutes, depending on your grill. Place planks on grill and close lid. Slice each salmon fillet into 6 thin portions, cutting through flesh but not through the skin.

Using a spoon or spatula, spread the mustard glaze evenly on top of the salmon. In a large deep dish, toss the asparagus and onions in the olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Directions soak the cedar plank in water for at least 2 hours.

When edges of salmon and top begin to turn dark, remove from heat. Salmon should flake off easily and reach a temperature of 145 f. Remove the cedar plank from the water and pat dry.

Spoon the sauce on the top of the salmon fillets and gently spread the sauce across the top of the salmon. Using tongs, take plank off grill and onto a sheet pan. In a small mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, mustard, dill, honey, and lemon zest.

Generously season both sides with salt and pepper. Place the cedar plank in the middle of the grill and close the lid. Cut the salmon into 4 equal portions.
