Avocado Toast Recipe With Egg And Bacon

The saltiness of the bacon and runny yolk of the egg made a great addition to the avocado toast. Season the egg with a little salt, black pepper and a sprinkle of chilli flakes.

Our version is slathered with nutty almond butter, top with a fried egg, lots of thinly sliced avocado, and then sprinkled with crumbled bacon and a little drizzle of honey and sea salt.

In a dry skillet, toast the ciabatta cut side down until it’s browned and toasty. For this recipe, i blended avocado with onion, tomato, and garlic for a bit more flavor. (if you don't have bacon grease, use butter).

Heat oil in the pan over medium heat. Cut avocado in half lengthwise, take out seed and scoop avocado out of peel with a spoon. Stir in lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and sea salt.

Crack egg into the pan. Chop bacon into small pieces. 5 minutes until the bacon is crispy.

Scoop out the bacon and drain on paper towels, leaving the drippings in the pan. Then, break in the egg. Top each piece with a fried egg and serve with hot sauce on the side (optional).
