In a separate bowl sift the flour, bran flakes and baking soda; I did make some changes, as it looks like most everyone else did too. Place flour, bran flakes, lsa, cinnamon, ginger and baking powder into a large bowl.

Let stand for about 2 minutes or until cereal softens. Grease muffin cups or line with paper muffin liners. Recipe submitted by wifey on may 8th, 2007.

I've been using this recipe for several years and just now remembered to review it. Mix the raspberries through gently. Place oil, golden syrup, sugar and milk in a bowl and beat lightly to combine.

In a pot over medium heat warm the milk, sugar, golden syrup, sultanas and butter until butter is completely melted. Beat together oil, egg, sugar and vanilla and add to buttermilk/bran mixture. Spoon the mixture evenly into the muffin tin.

Add the syrup and milk mixtures to the dry ingredients. Preheat oven to 200 c. Once its melted remove butter from the heat.

Melt the butter and golden syrup. Stir in a pinch of salt, bran flakes and dried fruit. Then add the milk, egg and baking soda.

Preheat the oven to 200Âșc. Pour into the flour mixture and combine with just a few stirs. In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.

Place oil, golden syrup, sugar, eggs and milk in a bowl, then beat lightly to combine. It kind of defeats the point of a bran muffin. Preheat oven to 400 f.

Into a large bowl place the flours, baking powder and soda, sugar and bran. Position the rack in the center of the oven. Sift together the flours, baking powder, and salt then stir in the sugar and bran flakes.

Stir flour mixture into buttermilk mixture, until just blended. In another bowl, mash 1½ bananas, egg, milk, butter and golden syrup. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and bran in a large bowl.

Bake at 400° f about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Evenly spoon the mixture into the muffin tin. Slice the remaining half of the banana for the top.

Dissolve the baking soda in the milk in a separate bowl, then add the butter, golden syrup and egg. Mix the eggs, oil, yoghurt, milk, brown sugar and dates;
