Green sun tea recipe. The general idea of making sun tea is to make a large batch of iced tea for summer without having to turn on your stovetop. A sun tea jar or glass container with a lid. Tips for making the best mint green sun tea (aip diet green tea) use fresh mint leaves.

Add the green tea and allow to steep for 5 minutes. If you like you tea on the sweeter side, throw in a few spoonfuls of honey or granulated sugar, then serve over ice. If you want the tea to be extra strong, add more than 5 teabags.

Any kind of teabags make great sun tea. Remove tea bags and fruit and serve tea over ice, sweetened with honey if desired (mix it in while tea is warm). Start by cleaning your sun glass container thoroughly.

You don’t have to boil water like other iced tea methods require to make sun tea—simply add water and tea bags to a glass jar, let steep and the tea is ready to drink within hours. If you don’t have a sun tea jar, you can still make a good sun tea recipe. I use tea bags here, and i sometimes have to strain the liquid, as some of the particles often escape the bags.

Swirl the water around to mix in the honey, as it dilutes, more water should be added until honey is no longer visible on the bottom of the glass container. Pour in a glass filled with ice and serve.
